Celebrate Christmas at the George Ranch Historical Park

Santa

Looking for something to do with the kids this week other than hitting the shopping mall?

Christmas is coming to the George Ranch Historial Park in Fort Bend this year in all of its historical glory. Travel through Christmas pasts on a festive hayride (weather-permitting) as we explore the customs and decorations from 1830s to the 1930s. Make sure to stop by the 1830s Jones Stock Farm for Mexican hot chocolate samples and the 1860s Ryon Prairie Home for homemade peppermint candy. Don’t forget to catch Treehouse Story Time with Santa Claus at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Special holiday activity classes will be held every Saturday through the month of December and December 20-23 ($3 cost).

Holiday Workshop Schedule:

Come craft with us as we celebrate the Christmas traditions of the many cultures that created Texas!

December 20-23: Wycinanki – Decorate your home with brilliant bouquets with the traditional Polish skill of paper cutting! Held at the 1890s Sharecropper Farm from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cost: $3 per participant
