The Woodlands Christian Academy, located at 5800 Academy Way, The Woodlands, celebrated the ground breaking of its newest addition to the school’s 40-acre campus May 7. The Christian college-preparatory private school offers classes for students in grades pre-K-12. Construction on the school’s new collegiate-style, three-story high school building, began in late May and is expected to wrap up in second quarter 2019.

It's that time again, where athletes--amateur and pro alike take on one of the most challenging races on the planet--Ironman. The race takes place on April 28 in The Woodlands, beginning at 7am and lasting until midnight. Athletes will begin with a 2.4-mile swim in Lake Woodlands. The rolling start, point-to-point swim begins at North Shore Park and ends at Town Green Park. The two-loop, out and back 112-mile bike course takes participants into Harris County down the Hardy Toll Road. The day ends with a 26.2-mile run taking place entirely within The Woodlands and concluding with a spectacular finish on Waterway Ave. If you happen to be navigating the area, check for road closures and delays!
